self-directed programs
Self-directed programs can be a great way to get started programming for teens, or to enhance your current program offerings to those teens who might not be available to attend a program at a specific time and place.
January: Time Warp Council Bluffs
February: Judge a Book By It's Cover (This is one example, but we had a different sheet for each week.)
March: March Madness
April: April Foolies
In Council Bluffs, these particular programs are library-wide, with each department having versions that appeal to their demographic. One winner is chosen at the end of the month. The budget is $20 per month for a gift card. Each month so far, well over 100 patrons have participated.
